
New on-call recruits welcomed into the Service at pass-out parade
Following a successful recruitment campaign and subsequent training programme, the 11 new firefighters are joining crews based at either the Western or Town stations.

Firefighters in three appliances, including an on-call crew, and a duty manager, were called to Police Headquarters on Route du Fort at approximately 11:15pm last night.
A fire had broken out in the server room.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the room and began to tackle the fire. The automatic fire suppression system efficiently activated, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
Colleagues prepared to leave the building as part of a progressive evacuation, however this was stood down as the fire was put out.
This included those working in the Emergency Services Control Centre, who were ready to move to the back-up facility at the States of Jersey Ambulance Service Headquarters.
There was no disruption to incoming 999 calls.
No one was injured in the incident.
