BBQ safety reminder

With the sun shining and BBQs firing up, let’s keep safe while enjoying the weather.

• Hot surfaces: The ground beneath a disposable BBQ gets extremely hot – hot enough to cause serious burns.
• After cooking: Always check the area where your BBQ was placed – it could still burn bare feet or paws. Cool it down with water or dig it over with cold sand.
• Disposal danger: Never throw a disposable BBQ in the bin until it’s completely cool – even warm coals can cause fires.
