Following a very successful recruitment campaign, we are delighted to have appointed 11 new on-call firefighters to the States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service.
These firefighters have now completed their initial training during an eight-day course, and will cover a couple more subjects over the next fortnight, before joining their respective watches.
They will be based at both Town HQ and Western Fire Station, ready to respond to incidents when needed.

Matt Roberts set off at 4pm on Easter Saturday and ran for 23 hours to complete the challenge.
