Meet our new On-Call Firefighters
We are proud to welcome JJ Lloyd, Colin Brady, Bethany Moisan, and Stephen Reed to the States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service as our new on-call firefighters.
In the event of an emergency call 999
As the boating season picks up into the summer months, Jersey Fire & Rescue wish to draw attention to the need for fire safety on boats.
Fires on boats can escalate extremely quickly due to flammable vapours collecting in confined spaces, so ensure regular inspection and maintenance of fuel lines and engines.
Ensure you have smoke and carbon monoxide alarms fitted to provide an early warning should a problem arise and be confident in the use of fire extinguishers, which should be located near to an exit.
Of course, a sufficient number of lifejackets should be available along with a day and night flare pack and a VHF radio to summon assistance.
We expect to work closely alongside our partners Jersey Coastguard, The Jersey Lifeboat Association and RNLI Jersey in the forthcoming months and wish you all fair winds and a safe 2025 boating season.

We are proud to welcome JJ Lloyd, Colin Brady, Bethany Moisan, and Stephen Reed to the States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service as our new on-call firefighters.
To mark International Control Room Week, we are raising awareness of what information you need to make a 999 call and what the control room operator will ask.
