
New on-call recruits welcomed into the Service at pass-out parade
Following a successful recruitment campaign and subsequent training programme, the 11 new firefighters are joining crews based at either the Western or Town stations.

Firefighters were called to a property in Grouville at approximately 7:15am on Sunday 19 January 2025, after a neighbour reported seeing flames.
When crews arrived, the property was well alight. Firefighters entered in breathing apparatus to locate the person believed to be inside.
One man was brought out to safety and the fire was quickly brought under control.
The man was treated on-scene by the States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service, before being handed over to Ambulance crews and taken to hospital.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
