
New on-call recruits welcomed into the Service at pass-out parade
Following a successful recruitment campaign and subsequent training programme, the 11 new firefighters are joining crews based at either the Western or Town stations.

Work has begun to stabilise the property impacted by the suspected explosion last Wednesday night (26 June 2024).
The structural support is expected to be installed by the end of this week when investigations will be able to begin.

The parents who suffered injuries during the incident remain in hospital and the family continues to be supported by Government.
Over the weekend, displaced residents from the neighbouring properties were escorted back to their homes to collect personal belongings. The Government is continuing to support those residents, in conjunction with insurance companies.
