
New on-call recruits welcomed into the Service at pass-out parade
Following a successful recruitment campaign and subsequent training programme, the 11 new firefighters are joining crews based at either the Western or Town stations.

Stabilisation and weatherproofing work continued over the weekend, at the site of the suspected explosion in Mont Pinel on Wednesday 26 June.
It is expected that investigators will be able to safely access the site and begin their assessments tomorrow morning.
An expert from the UK will assist States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service with the investigation into the cause of the incident.
Until they have begun their initial assessments, it is difficult to say how long the process will take – but it is likely to take weeks or months.
The family that was hospitalised following the incident are due to be / have been discharged from hospital this afternoon.
They are being provided with accommodation while investigations at their property are underway and are being further supported by Government and family.
The other families affected are being supported by both Government and their insurers, while investigators work to determine the cause.
