Some of our On-call Firefighters have recently undergone and passed their Initial Pump Operator course.
FF Le Riche, FF Laframboise, FF Ferreira, FF Carey, FF Syvret, and FF Chamberlaine have been with the States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service for the past year.
This qualification means they are able to work towards their driving qualifications and fulfil the role of Pump Operator during emergencies.
On Tuesday 24 February 2026, more than 40 of our dedicated on-call firefighters took part in a high intensity, three-hour drill at the former Oaklands Lodge site.
We are proud to welcome JJ Lloyd, Colin Brady, Bethany Moisan, and Stephen Reed to the States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service as our new on-call firefighters.
