At approximately 2.30pm Jersey Fire & Rescue responded to a reported structure fire at a St Saviour home.
One fire appliance responded initially and quickly extinguished the fire using a high-pressure hose reel. The crew were quickly supplemented by another fire engine that worked to clear the property from smoke.
Thankfully the damage was limited due to the owner closing the door from the fire to the main house, and quickly calling 999. They were alerted by working smoke alarms.
