
New on-call recruits welcomed into the Service at pass-out parade
Following a successful recruitment campaign and subsequent training programme, the 11 new firefighters are joining crews based at either the Western or Town stations.

Eight members of the Jersey Fire and Rescue Service recently successfully completed a Rope Rescue Technicians course, in Jersey, with a trainer from the UK.
Commenting on the successful course, Watch Commander John Le Cornu said: "This course covers technical areas of rope rescue, enabling JFRS to perform complex rescues from height and ensuring that when tackling incidents, they are always ready with the best skills possible to assist islanders, when needed."
Later in the year, six of the team be putting the training to good use in the upcoming UKRO (United Kingdom Rescue Organisations) Challenge, competing against the best specialist teams from across the UK and representing JFRS.
