Successful smoke test in the Tunnel

Last night, we joined Infrastructure and Environment teams in the Tunnel, to carry out a smoke test.

This test allowed us to see, in person, what a fire in the tunnel would look like. The exercise reinforced our risk information and helps ensure that we are well prepared, should an incident occur.

If there is an incident in the tunnel and you are advised to evacuate, please follow these steps:

• Leave your keys and belongings in the vehicle
• Exit the tunnel without passing the incident
• Wait at the muster point for further instruction
