
New on-call recruits welcomed into the Service at pass-out parade
Following a successful recruitment campaign and subsequent training programme, the 11 new firefighters are joining crews based at either the Western or Town stations.

Shortly before 7pm last night (Tuesday 21 January 2025), firefighters were called to a single-vehicle RTC in Le Mont Matthieu in St Ouen.
Three people were inside the vehicle, which was in a precarious position. It had mounted the bank on the edge of the road and the occupants, though unharmed, were concerned if they exited the vehicle, that it would roll onto the road.
Firefighters made the scene safe by anchoring the car to the ground and the the driver and two passengers were able to exit the vehicle safely.

Matt Roberts set off at 4pm on Easter Saturday and ran for 23 hours to complete the challenge.
