
New on-call recruits welcomed into the Service at pass-out parade
Following a successful recruitment campaign and subsequent training programme, the 11 new firefighters are joining crews based at either the Western or Town stations.

White Watch conducted a rope rescue training exercise on the north coast of the island.
Training in realistic environments like this tests and challenges the crews' operational and tactical procedures when dealing with such an incident.
This exercise involved two casualties in a precarious position.
As we would in a real life scenario, we launched our inshore rescue boat to assist alongside rope rescue operatives.
We would like to thank the relevant landowners who allowed us access, Jersey Coastguard for their assistance and also Air Rescue Channel Islands who assisted in the running of the exercise by providing overhead visual support for our operations commanders, and also provided some of these great images.
